WHAT ARE WE ?

A HOME FOR DDISADVANTAGED CHILDREN

'Home of Dreams', is registered as a Nepalese NGO in Rudreshwar, Kathmandu, Nepal for the promotion and protection of the Rights of children to receive a meaningful edu cation and compassionate, care in a safe environment.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer disadvantaged children, between the ages of 5 - to16 years, a meaningful education at a 'Waldorf Initiative, in Kathmandu-Nepal and a safe and caring homely environment at the 'Home of Dreams'.
We do not have any affiliation to any one particular religion or religious organisation. Our belief is that there is a universal spirituality that is open to each and every child for them to access whenever and however they so desire or not.
Quiet personal meditation is embedded in the culture of the Nepalese people and thus is the preferred way of achieving 'downtime' by the children at the end of a full day. There is no coercion for any of them to participate. We do painting, crafting, gardening at our home to help our children learn by doing. That is their free choice and is instigated most evenings by one or another of the children.

A TREK AT THE WEEKEND IN THE LOCAL JUNGLE
Most weekends, Siddhartha the manager of the Home of Dreams plans something interesting for the children . E.G. a trek in the jungle in the hills to the north of the 'Home of Dreams', but all within comfortable walking distance.
'RAISE UP'
Please help us to 'RAISE UP' our precious children . Although entirely independent, we have purposely developed a close working relationship with the much respected Waldorf Initiative in Kathmandu. It is our hope and intent that all our children attend here as students. We require support from the wider community for our endeavours to develop and for us to be in a position to offer the opportunity of a quality education to children from socioeconomically challenged backgrounds.

'OUR DREAM' We have a dream to buld a home where children from various disadvantaged background will be free to dream for their future.
Now the hostel is ready and 'open', we seek sponsors for all the children, preferably with commitment to sponsor for 1 year from date of sponsorship commencement. One-off financial gifts for support are also most welcome to off-set the inevitable occasional deficit monthly budget.
It costs us a minimum of NPR 10000 per month, ($85, £65 or 75 Euros) per child, incl:utilities, food, transport, health and schooling except rent.Please offer support direct to Home of Dreams via Transferwise or western union with the details provided to you by Siddartha Bdr Shahi the manager.
MAYBE YOU WISH TO ASSIST US ?

We hope to offer help and support to many other disadvantaged children, between the ages of 5 and 16 years, whom we welcome to our home.
Become an integral part of our project by subscribing to a child's sponsorship (Nepal rupee 10000 a month, inclusive of a school fee) on a monthly basis or simply make a donation according to your means.
Why not 'partner' with a friend or more, to sponsor a child ? Or with a community club or group? Your local place of worship? A fund raising event?
